Dr Shaneil Vaughn Fransch

Dr Fransch is a Rural Generalist Senior Medical Officer working in a regional emergency department in Northeast Victoria. He is the Deputy Director of Medical Student Education for the University of Melbourne Rural Clinical School (Wangaratta) and the Victorian Rural Generalist Program Emergency Medicine Clinical Lead.

He comes from a lineage of rural GPs. His mother worked in remote Far North Queensland with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and his sister is a Rural Generalist in Echuca. Having migrated from Zimbabwe he is aware of the challenges in access to education and healthcare faced by rural and remote communities and is committed to closing this gap.
